Ben grew up in a rural setting where he was naturally drawn to work that combined his passion for the outdoors with hands-on creativity. After completing an apprenticeship across a wide range of building projects, he developed a passion for bringing new life to classic Kiwi homes and delivering one-off architectural builds with precision.

In 2013 he founded Bos Construction. The business remains intentionally small and family-owned so we can give clients personal service while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. We focus on complex renovations, extensions, and new builds, using thoughtful design, careful planning, and attention to detail at every stage.

Honesty, trust, and clear communication have always been central to the way we work. From start to finish we guide clients through every stage of their project to help bring their vision to life and protect the long-term value of their home.

Behind every project is a small, dedicated team who genuinely care about the outcome. Bos Construction is intentionally kept close knit so that every build receives hands on attention and clear oversight from start to finish.

While Ben leads projects on site, our broader team of trusted trades and long standing subcontractors play an important role in delivering consistent quality. We work with people who share our standards, our work ethic and our respect for clients’ homes. Many of these relationships have been built over years, which means communication is straightforward and expectations are understood.

Behind the scenes, Nikita manages accounts and administration, ensuring the practical side of each project runs smoothly. From budgeting to documentation, her oversight helps keep everything organised and transparent.

Meet Ben

Your Lead Builder

Ben is a thoroughbred builder, coming from a long family line of builders and engineers, and had a passion for carpentry from an early age. Ben could swing a hammer before he could walk, and always knew he would follow the trade. With a sharp eye for design, clever ability to solve the unsolvable, and a deep passion for his craft, there’s not much Ben can’t do.

Experience working in a variety of jobs from new builds, renovations, re-clads to alterations has harnessed a great passion for creative construction solutions. Ben has truly honed his craft with an unmatched intuition and passion for great carpentry.

In his spare time, Ben is a keen surfer and family man who enjoys the great outdoors with his three wonderful kids.
